In August, I admitted my obsession with camo print – so, naturally, I was pumped to finally debut these skinny jeans from SOLD Design Lab (a TJ Maxx score!). I love printed denim, and this was an easy way for me to incorporate the camo trend. Because the J.Crew field jacket also has a military feel to it, I opted for sparkly, contrasting elements to wear in addition: a sequined top, metallic pumps and a clutch with lots of texture. The combination of tough and glam makes the outfit more interesting and unexpected; however, I think camo print denim lends itself well to plenty of other unique pairings (think: navy and white striped sweater, a bright top and fitted blazer, or a graphic tee and denim jacket). There are tons of ways to camouflage your wardrobe this fall and winter – so, get after it. You’ll feel badass.

Noteworthy finds and random inspiration:

The New York Times’ Fashion Fingerprints — an amazing visual archive from NYFW.

Hats on the brain. Really like this floppy brim Rag & Bone fedora.

Two good friends try dating each other for forty days, and document the entire experience through daily his & hers blog posts (with assistance from some very creative designer friends). Got a little obsessed and read the whole thing last Friday: fortydaysofdating.com

Enviable interior: soothing blues, edgy original artwork, all modern and stylish. Love this dream home. Definitely feeling inspired by interior design recently (and I’ve been watching too much HGTV).

And while on the subject of TV: Ray Donovan and Breaking Bad are INSANE (and I’m really bummed that Breaking Bad is almost over). Sunday nights have been really intense.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday + Sunday! Today’s outfit post is a casual, weekend-ready look — just what I envision myself wearing when I think of all those classic New England fall activities: farmer’s markets, watching football, apple picking, pumpkin carving (all of those things I daydream about, but rarely have time to actually do…)

I’m so happy I found these stacked heel suede booties from Modern Vintage — they’re a fall staple, and unbelievably comfortable, too. I also really dig this sporty quilted vest from British company Joules, with chic details like an embroidered lining, contrasting zips and gold hardware. It adds that element of utilitarian cool (and will become a much-needed extra layer under my coat this winter).

Who’s with me on the apple picking? ‘Tis the season!
