White button-downs shirts under sweaters is a look that brings me back to my New England prep school days. So, hoping to make the classic layered look a little more interesting, I wore a long J.Crew white tunic (this one from J.Crew Factory is really similar) under a light pink cropped sweater. Over these, I layered an olive green Alvin Valley blazer – sticking with a longer cut to match the length of the tunic.
I was in the market for a new pair of black jeans, and ended up getting these A Gold E black skinnies on sale (here). I hadn’t heard of the brand before, but let me just tell you – these are the most comfortable jeans ever. I wear them at least three times a week. Paired with my crazy Sam Edelman booties, the extra dark denim adds some contrast and helps balance the lighter layers on top.
Anyways, I hope your Monday is off to a good start! Check back for a Valentine’s outfit post later this week.
