I’m a sucker for J.Crew prints, especially when they’re as wild and vibrant as the one sweeping across these silk shorts (bonus: they’re an extra 40& off.)”. And I’m weirdly obsessed with this “dressed up short” combo. It has that effortless tomboy edge that you just can’t get with skirts and dresses in the summer. The slouchy cut makes these feel like gym shorts, but they work with both casual and dressier combos. I paired them with a silk tank on one occasion, a chambray button-down on another – and then with this white tee and navy blazer (clearly they’ve been getting a lot of airtime).
A few subtle extras – like vintage sunglasses, metallic textured pumps and minimal jewelry – help elevate the simple combo but keep the shorts in the spotlight. Where they should be.
