I can’t get enough neon. It epitomizes summer for me (though I have no qualms about wearing it year-round either). It’s great for offsetting a tan and adding some bright contrast to summery outfits. Needless to say, I was pretty thrilled when I found this gorgeous Karen Millen skirt on sale a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t wait to feature it in a post. It’s the perfect combination of color and texture, with a neon floral overlay and full skirt — and the navy top seems to make the yellow glow even more. In fact, I think it almost qualifies as reflective safety gear.
To make this a next-level outfit for summer soirées, I added peach patent pumps (hello, alliteration) and a clutch that offers another dose of fluorescent floral. All together, the look makes a pretty bright statement.
As a side note: I would be so so grateful if you could take a minute to vote for City Tonic as “Best Fashion Blog” on the Boston A-List. If you don’t want to register, just sign in through Facebook (or a different social media account) to cast your vote. You’re my hero!
