I feel like I’m recovering from the holidays all over again — after TWO snow days (thanks, Juno) — and plenty of eating, couch-lounging and movie-watching. As much as I hate Boston winters, snow days are always magical (and still manage to make me giddy). Anyways, today’s post looks totally out of place, since I shot these photos a week ago — when there wasn’t a speck of snow on the ground and I’m wearing a skirt (whaaaat?!) like a crazy person. My fiancé and I found this cool mural on the Northeastern campus where he takes MBA classes, and I loved how bold and graphic it is — especially in contrast to the bleak gray winter sky. Although Boston is full of beautiful and historic buildings and quaint streets, my biggest complaint (as a blogger) is a lack of brightly colored walls and buildings. Sounds weird, but I’m always excited when I find one. Luckily, I just so happened to be wearing a very neutral outfit, so there was no clashing with the background. Mostly, I wanted to show off my killer J.Crew glitter pumps (check out the insane black and gold striped heels!) with a simple outfit as the foundation.

PS pretty much everything I’m wearing is now on sale — shop the pieces below!

Outfit details:

Jacket: Barneys Originals Leather biker jacket via ASOS// Skirt: Madewell Countdown Skirt (on sale) // Top: Zara (old) // Shoes: J.Crew Roxie glitter pumps (on sale here, but only one size left) // Bag: Proenza Schouler PS13 clutch (other colors on sale here and here)

Such a cute outfit! I love the way you combined these neutrals 🙂 I definitely have to go hunt for that mural soon! I totalLy agree with the struggle of finding colorful walls in boston!
