Two things that always make me feel a bit edgy (and instantly cooler): ripped jeans and leather jackets. When you combine the two, the effect can be casual and effortlessly stylish (think: Chuck Taylors, a slouchy t-shirt and messy ponytail). But in this case, I went in the opposite direction and dressed up the combo with soft pinks and fancy pumps. The palette here is pretty different from the blacks, grays and saturated colors I seem to gravitate towards – but this vintage tan leather and blush pink feels classically feminine, adding balance to the edgier pieces. Side note: these rockstuds are my dream shoe. My unicorns. I finally scored a pair during a recent Rue La La sale while repeating “treat yo self” in my head.
In other news: it’s Friday! I hope you have a fabulous weekend. If you live in Boston, stop by Cynthia Rowley on Newbury this Saturday for a fun event hosted by my blogger buddies Allie and Diana. And soak up as much sun as possible. It seems a bit scarce these days.
